  4.                    MICROSOFT SEEKS TO DISMISS JUDGE

  6. Although the U.S. Department of Justice and Microsoft are united in
  7. urging the U.S. Court of Appeals to overturn a federal judge's rejection
  8. of their July 1994 anittrust settlement, Microsoft has gone one step
  9. further.  Last week it sought to remove U.S. District Court Judge 
  10. Stanley Sporkin from the case.  Microsoft's filing claimed Sporkin had
  11. acquired "personal bias" against the company by reading anonymous legal
  12. briefs and allegaltions in the 1992 book "Hard Drive".
